Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card is an essential requirement for working on all construction sites within the U.K. and there are now additional steps you need to take to allow for construction site access. If you are new to site work or your CRO card is due to expire, you will need to ensure you have carried out the following: a welder approval test, health and safety test and a job knowledge test in a welding process of your choice.
Construction Related Occupation (CRO) Cards
This card was available to people working in construction related occupations not covered by other CSCS cards. The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) has withdrawn the Construction Related Occupation (CRO) card. The withdrawal of the CRO card is seen as a practical step towards achieving the Construction Leadership Council's requirement of ensuring nationally recognised qualifications are in place for all construction related occupations
